I just finished it and took the time to copy a lot of the exercises and different ideas out into another book so that they would solidify in my mind. I think that if you have the time to really concentrate on the exercises and incorporate them into your daily life then it will certainly change your life. I got this book out of the library and really enjoyed it, even though these books are usually laughable fluff you can't help but glance through.
But, yes, I think it really did change my life. I have several of the catch phrases mentioned in the book - such as: there is no such thing as failure only feedback - on my vision board! When in certain situations they pop into my head.
Also, a few of the visualisation exercise I found really helpful. There is one to combat worrying, and I have used it...more

Do not take me wrong, I am usually rather skeptical about this sort of book and most authors who write this type of literature do not strike me with the sound honesty of Paul McKenna. His book is REALLY helpfull if you are trying to renew your life and energy and get into better routines and a more productive phase of your life.

The tips and advice in this book are great! This book will definitely help but you need to have a positive attitude and the belief in yourself as well as in what McKenna writes.
I keep this book on my 'active' bookshelf at home. It is one of a few I turn to whenever I start heading to my negative side. It's a must have for anyone that suffers from depression and/or anxiety.

This will give you an insight into my fleeting mind. It comes with a CD, and to be honest I had a bit of a freak-out whilst i was supposedly 'meditating'. If you have taken any LSD, Amp's, weed, mushy's.. don't listen to the CD. It didn't really change my life, just made me realise that i have taken way too many drugs and that my mind should remain confinded to 'reality' and not altered, even if McKenna tells me it will improve my quality of life. I am only one action away from a mental ward ;0)

At first, this sounds like an interesting and educative book. But when I got further in the book, it felt rather irritating. So many obvious things stated here, not an enjoyable read. I give it two stars because of the quotes and sometimes good life lessons.

Great book, it did inspire me back when I read it as I was looking for a job and was unemployed so was very helpful in that respect. I need to read it again though.
THE new book by Paul McKenna, CHANGE YOUR LIFE IN 7 DAYS, is in my opinion, one of the best self development books this year.

I love Paul McKenna seriously I do .. I have all his books and read most of them , I even have his quit smoking book although I don't smoke .. yeah that's how much I love him .. this book was a summary of all his previous books put in a neat way in a form of seven days , the problem was I felt all the information I read was just a repetition from his previous books , nothing new in the exercises but the articles were so good and he is a really great man .. I do recommend this book to whoever did...more

Successful people make plans, not the beautifully highlighted in pink and yellow with coloured shapes drawn over the top but one you create from within yourself. I did mine in a motorway services carpark where I had stopped for a rest. The CD is an important part yet I can't get mine to skip to the sections. It always starts at the beginning and I am totally relaxed after three minutes. Maybe I will leave it playing just so I can hear what is at the end!

The title caught my attention because how could you change your life in 7 days, there's no such thing as a quick fix however this book has seen a marked change in my attitude and behaviour. It reinforces lessons I've already learnt and taught me some really important lessons.
This is an easy to read book with lots of valuable information and if you have the wherewithal to implement the lessons, you can change your life and you will start to notice the difference quickly.

A great practical motivating book. Taking notes on the exercises and quotes from the book and applying them to my life made a huge difference in the way I look to people and things.

Positive feedback, self affirmation, and guided imagery. Put them together, they're a powerful combination. If you do the exercises, they can make a difference. The title's a little over-hype, but, hey, you have to sell books, right?
An entertaining lecture, which helps you to increase your daily confidence, in the same time remaining authentic. I have not heard the CD yet, I guess it will have a greater impact on me.
Synthesizes a lot of other top self help books and adds a hypnosis cd.

Difficult to say much about this one.
It is supposed to be a guide on how to find happiness and success by following the proposed exercises inside the book. I think it will actually take way more than 7 days to change your life...

I picked this book up for a friend thinking it might help her as she was going through a bit of down time, anyway out of curiosity I thought id read it myself first after all we can all benefit from a positive energy boost every now & again..it didn't exactly change my life as stated on the front cover but it did get me thinking about a few things & I photocopied a some of the mind exercises to do again at a later time..unfortunately there was no dvd in the back cover so im not sure what...more

Some good ideas on how to improve your life, as with any self help book I can't say whether it will actually work, but its certainly not going to harm me to think in a more positive way, I am going to read it again and go through the exercises again as this book does require you to do some mind training exercises. It was supposed to come with a CD but I bought this from a charity shop and the CD was with it so cant review that bit. I have been trying the exercises and have felt more positive so...more

My first foray into self-hypnosis/guided meditation. I love the CD. Very peaceful and relaxing, regardless of the positive messages/suggestions.
The author offers some good visualization exercises and tips on how to change and reframe your thinking. There were a lot of trite anecdotes and quotes by famous people on happiness etc. that I have read dozens of times already, which made the book seem a bit recycled. Took a few pages of notes on stuff I want to practice and will pass the book on. Not...more

I think this book could be a bit intresting for people who haven't read such type of books before. However, for sure you can find a more intresting book out there. Change You Life in 7 Days is based on meditation and hypnosis systems! and this is not the best way that you could try to improve your life. Also the book addresses a level of people who are somehow suffering in their lives and business, or having alot of problems. If your life was moderate to say the least, you better find some other...more
I didn't find this book gave me any real revelations however it was well set out and had some good exercises to do. I think to get the most out of this book I would need to re-read a few times and maybe copy out some of the exercises to be able to focus on them. I enjoyed the short stories that started each chapter and felt this book was fairly inclusive of different lifestyles and beliefs. I think the people who would benefit most from this book are those who have not read anything like this be...more

I am still in the beginnig and very curious about the power of changing my life in... 7 days. It's a chanlenge to what we believe Change is, that it takes time.

Well... I finished the book. To be honest, I did not like it. It's very boring, somehow superficial and the author repeats the some of the ideas along the book. I also tried the CD that comes within the book and I prefer what I've learnt on my meditation course.

Really enjoyed the simplicity and practicality of this week. Not too much fluff. Great stories, exercises, and just basics - covering major areas of life. Should give people a huge bump up if they read this and good introspection on areas most don't think about. I particularly liked all the concepts and mindsets laid out in this book. Compared to Robbin's Awaken the Giant Within, this is probably 1/3 of the length with a better start up time

7-Day Manifestation Success Planner – Guide
Day 1: Choosing What To Manifest
When you choose what you manifest, the trick is to choose something small, but something that you nonetheless really want; a thing that lights you up inside and is compatible with your plan for life. After all, you need to be able to feel fully passionate about it for the week ahead.
For example, you might want to be asked out on a date, receive a lovely gift from your partner, be invited to a social gathering, strike up a new friendship, or get $20 to buy that new dress you’ve been eyeing.
Whatever you choose, be kind to yourself all week; indulge in self-care activities every day, eat healthy food, and enjoy the feeling of embodying the essence of your intention.

Think carefully about what you want to manifest, and write it down. You might want to experiment with different ways of phrasing your intention until one strikes you as fully accurate. Then, share your manifestation goal in the comments below.

Before you start trying to manifest your dreams, it will be useful to read up on the common mistakes people make when using The Law Of Attraction; so that you don’t make the same ones. Start with understanding and avoiding this #1 manifestation mistake.

Day 2: Affirmations
Come up with a set of positive affirmations that are linked to this week’s goals. For example, if you’re looking for a date, you might try “I’m going to meet someone to date this week” or “I feel excitement and positivity about my upcoming date”. You can find some great examples of affirmations in these two articles: “5 Powerful Affirmations for Happiness NOW” and “6 Affirmations For Overcoming Dating Insecurities“. You will probably find these examples helpful when creating your personalized affirmations.
But if you’re still unsure about how to create powerful affirmations that really work, read this article here for some great tips.
In addition to coming up with affirmations, tell other people about your goal… but choose them carefully. You’ll want to discuss your intentions with those who have a generous, encouraging mindset. They will help you focus your energy and enhance your belief in your ability to manifest what you want.
Day 3: Visualize
Practice creative visualization on the third day, as many times as you can. Build up a clear, vivid picture of what it will be like to manifest your goal, and imagine all the associated sights, sounds, smells, and feelings.
This visualization day of the experiment also involves creating a vision board. You have the freedom to approach its creation in whatever way feels right, but you can add pictures, drawings, words and any other visual representations of your goal.
As you create the board, focus on how good it feels to know you can succeed.

Day 4: Act “As If”
Keep believing that the thing you want is coming and try to act as if you already have it. This is called acting “as if” (or sometimes “living in the knowing”). So, if you want to make new friends, allow yourself to feel like you already have a fun confidant and are in the early stages of building a meaningful connection.
Meanwhile, if you’re waiting to receive a gift from a partner, feel the appreciation and gratitude, and know that you are loved. Notice how living “as if” helps to build your confidence and can make your day feel so much brighter.
Day 5: Make A Gratitude List
Think of things that are similar to what you want to manifest, but that you already have. As you do so, focus on the feelings of gratitude evoked by having those things in your life.
Whether it’s a list of good dates you enjoyed (whether they led to relationships or not) or a list of gorgeous outfits you were able to buy, this activity focuses your attention on the manifestation potential that you already know you have (which automatically gives your current manifestation potential a nice boost!).
TIP:
Put the Law Of Attraction exercise that you need practice on a specific day on a post-it and stick the post-it somewhere you will see it all the time (for example, if you’re spending most of your time at the office, then put it on your computer screen or keyboard).
This will help remind you to move forward with your manifestation to-do list and focus on what is important. This is very important. So many people struggle attracting what they want because they give up too soon or are inconsistent with their manifestation process.
Day 6: Find Opportunities And Inspiration
When you want to manifest something, you’ll stand the greatest chance of success if you take an open-minded approach to your search for opportunities and inspiration. Don’t be so constrained by your idea of who you would normally date, for example, that you don’t even notice that nice guy or girl at work who keeps trying to catch your eye.
